I know who left these footprints in the snow

 I feed them every day and here they are -

But, I don't know who left these?

 Badger?  Five toed cat?  I think they were two big for a cat.

They certainly were not left by this cheeky character  -

It's not only the birds that like sultanas. He/she comes out to join in the feast.

Possibly the best fed vole in england.

First Home Spun Project.

I've done lots of spinning since I treated myself to a spinning wheel and have approximately 3,117yds of plyed yarn ready to use. I've spun wool from Jacob, Shetland, Norwegian, Merino and Blue Faced Leicester  sheep. I've only used a small amount of it though and this is my first home spun project.

January Phenomenon

There's a strange thing happens at this time of year.
 It happens most years and almost exclusively in January.

This is it -

The jigsaw.

I finish one

then carefully pack it away.

Making sure to store the edge pieces separately. I don't want the tedious job of sorting them out the next time around.

Then I'll do another

This one is dated on the box -1983.

Then I store away the puzzle board, ready for next January.
Phenomenon over.

A Frightful Sight

 I looked in the mirror and a frightful sight was looking back at me. A red peeling nose and a top lip covered in cold sores. I've decided that I'm going to hibernate until someone presentable stares back at me from the looking glass.  I'm not fit to be seen in public.

On the plus side I'm feeling much better, but do you think I could leave this lot till tomorrow?

I don't feel like getting the ironing board out.
