THE PROOF

I haven't grown any tomatoes this year, but luckily my neighbours have. "Would you like some?" said S. Daft question, of course I would. "Will you use them?" said S. (I think she must have seen my bucket of apples go in the bin.) "Tomato Soup" I said.

Well S., I used them and very nice they were too.
THANKYOU.

  1. I miss all of the toms that we used to grow on our allotment, they always tasted just that little bit different to the supermarket one's.

  2. My favourite soup, especially if you through in lots of chopped streaky bacon. Or maybe not if you are vegetarian. I stopped using the wee cherry toms as I could not easily de-skin them. I now choose big ones and pour boiling water over them and 'Bob's your Uncle' orf come all the skins!

    1. I should have skinned them, but the little ones are too fiddly. Squashed them through a sieve when it was cooked.
