Japan

My son and his wife live in Japan! They are alright, but are both feeling on edge after this morning's earthquake.
I turned on the radio this morning to be greeted with the news of the earthquake and immediately went into a flap. Thank goodness for the internet! Within ten minutes I had heard from them and new that they were safe.
I've since spoken to them on the web cam and they don't think they will get much sleep tonight, I'm not sure that I will either, aftershocks and nuclear power plants being a worry. I can't imagine what people affected by the earthquake are going through. One of my Daughter in law's friends although safe has lost her home. My heart goes out to these people. I can't find words to describe how sorry I am for their trouble and loss.

Awesome

A couple of nights ago I went outside to watch the space station travel across the sky, the space shuttle was docked with it.  This evening I went outside to have another look, but this time two lights travelled across the sky, they had seperated. I get very excited about seeing these insignificent looking lights because I know the reality of what they are. I marvel at the bravery of the people who are up there and the technology which gets them there. Seeing them left me feeling exhilerated and a bit fearful. Awesome!
