Coffee Time

Sat in the garden having a cup of coffee.

Being entertained by these little characters having a bath

and squabbling over the seed feeders.

Suddenly spotting this shield bug sitting on a sack of weeds

 and then finding this.

 Wish you had smelly vision

 A PERFECT AFTERNOON.

THE PROOF

I haven't grown any tomatoes this year, but luckily my neighbours have. "Would you like some?" said S. Daft question, of course I would. "Will you use them?" said S. (I think she must have seen my bucket of apples go in the bin.) "Tomato Soup" I said.

Well S., I used them and very nice they were too.
THANKYOU.

DUCK!

What's that noise?
 Into the garden to investigate.

Coming in to land, but please not on my house. Ready to duck everyone.

Going up, I hope.

Bye bye balloon.

OH NO!

I know that they had been sitting there for ages,
I know that there were a few flies around them,
I know that the wasps were loving them,
I know that they were becoming a bit smelly,
I know that there were two many for me to deal with just now,
but did 'The Old Grump' have to
THROW THEM AWAY.

I had good intentions, but the best laid plans don't always come to fruition.
At least I don't have to worry about them sitting there anymore.
There are just as many still hanging on the tree.
The apple pie and crumble apples are still hanging on the other tree.
They did all house at least one worm, so no one else wanted them and their condition had deteriorated quite considerably from when the photo was taken.
YES, I'll forgive him for putting them in the bin.

Moment

I just wanted to capture a special moment,

but it flew away.

So here's one which I captured earlier :-

Speckled Wood.

Moth

Isn't this beautiful

It landed on my kitchen window in July and luckily stayed there long enough for me to get the camera out.
I think it is a White Satin Moth.

WHAT A YEAR

In fact it's been more like 18mths of one crisis after another, after another, after another. I've been so tired, dealing with things, that something had to give - NO TIME TO BLOG.
I have been reading though and keeping in touch with all the goings on at my favourite blog sites.

The worst thing that happened this year was my mother having a massive operation and I do mean MASSIVE, but thankfully she seems to be coping well considering that she is 81 years old.
Hopefully things here are settling down a bit now (ooh, I hope that's not tempting fate) and I hope to get back to some sort of normality.

You really ought to see my garden, well perhaps not, I mean I'm always good at growing weeds for the giant weed competition, but this year I've really surpassed myself. I should have taken photos of them when they were at their best, you would have been impressed. 'Seven years seeding, seven years weeding' . I had better be on the ball next year or the garden will be a proper jungle.

Now my next job is to see if I can remember how to re-size photos.
 I'LL BE BACK.

PANIC

It's been nearly a year since I last attempted posting anything and big breath, panic, I couldn't get in. No, it wouldn't let me in to my blog. Panic, panic, panic, big shout for the Old Grump and sorted. Well kind of sorted, because things have changed and now, once more I have to learn how to use blogger. So here I am, determined to get blogging again, but having to re-learn everything. It's lunchtime. I'm off for sustenance, but I'll be back.
