Lawyer's Wigs

I'm rather impressed with the texture on these shaggy inkcaps.

They will be added to my list of things which inspire me to stitch. The ever growing list which one day I WILL get around to using.

  1. Those are amazing. They make me want to knit cushion covers. Don't know why.

  2. I love the textures and colours in these pictures. If I stitched I'd feel inspired too - though like you it may be a while before I applied myself!

  4. Thankyou for all of your comments. John, there are ruder looking fungi out there, but I think I'll avoid posting pictures of those.

  5. Lawyers don't wear wigs in Norway, but having seen this - maybe they should?

PS Thank you for the nice comment!

  6. I've been thinking about these ever since you posted, Doohie! It would be fun to wet felt and mould over a suitably shaped something-or-other, then use one of those hand-held felting needle tools to add texture. Hmmm... x

  7. I have never eaten an inkspot and I understand that they are delicious?

  8. Elizabeth, That's a good idea now I'll have to think about the something-or-other and how to incorporate Kath's bugle beads.:o)

Heron's view, I've read that they are edible, but I'm not brave enough to try them. :o)
